Rotate Atami

This work expresses the image of the Atami region, inspired by the keyword “Atami,” using hiragana, katakana, kanji, and English letters. During her stay, she was inspired by the signs of long-established shops, the natural landscape, the beach, and interactions with the local community, leading to the creation of this moving flat artwork. Viewers can touch and interact with the piece, rotating each of the letterboards. Through the element of rotation, she hopes to evoke the sea breeze of Atami and the vibrant presence of the people.
